My name is Lisa Walker, an undergraduate student born and raised in Clewiston Florida. Currently I am attending Santa Fe College in Gainesville, and will succeed this May in receiving my Associate of Arts in Economics with Highest Honors and an International Studies Certificate. This Fall I am attending the University of Miami to major in Economics and minor in Art History. My ultimate career goal is to specialize in art market analysis and art business. Although my major is Economics, this direction will provide me with comprehensive abilities of the global art market’s dynamic system. From an economical view, I’m seeking to gain knowledge in market analysis, international trade, and skill advancement to map out future trends, productivity, and increasing values within the Modern and Contemporary arts.
As a firm believer of art’s power in creating our history and culture, it is my passion to share with others the many ways art impacts our experience with the world. In order to reach my career goal, I am seizing all opportunities to become involved with museums, art and artist interactions, as well as other dynamics of the art world.
